What information do I collect?
- Information you give me. When you book a call, email me or message me, I receive what you share, such as your name, email address, phone number, company and details about your project.
- Usage information. Like most websites, the site collects information about how it's used: pages visited, clicks, approximate location (city or country), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Small files and scripts used for analytics and advertising, described below.
Which tools does this site use?
- Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use the site. How Google uses data.
- Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) to measure ads and show relevant ads to people who visited the site. Meta's privacy policy.
- Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are used (for example clicks and scrolling) so I can improve them. Microsoft's privacy statement.
- Cal.com to schedule calls. The details you enter in the booking form are processed by Cal.com. Cal.com's privacy policy.
- YouTube for embedded videos, which may set cookies when you play a video.
How is your information used?
- To reply to you, schedule calls and deliver any work we agree on
- To understand which pages and marketing are useful, and improve the site
- To measure and improve advertising, including showing ads to past visitors
- To keep the site secure and meet legal obligations
I don't sell your personal information for money. Some states treat sharing data with advertising platforms for targeted ads as a "sale" or "sharing"; you can opt out as described below.
What choices do you have?
- Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
- Google Analytics: install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Ads: adjust your Meta ad preferences and Google ad settings, or use the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a GPC signal, it is treated as a request to opt out of targeted advertising where the law requires it.
- Your rights: depending on where you live (for example California or other US states, the UK or the EU), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to opt out of targeted advertising. Email hello@iamaftabahmed.com and I'll respond within the time the law requires.
How long is information kept, and is it safe?
Messages and booking details are kept as long as needed to work with you and for normal business records, then deleted. Analytics data is kept according to each tool's retention settings. Reasonable steps are taken to protect your information, but no website or online service can be guaranteed 100% secure.
Anything else?
This site isn't meant for children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information. Links to other websites are covered by those sites' own policies. If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
